Dr. John Holcomb Honored with Bill T. Teague Lectureship

On May 17, 2012, Dr. John Holcomb had the honor of delivering the 16th Annual Bill T. Teague Lecture in Transfusion
Medicine for the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center in Houston. Bill T. Teague was the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center's founding CEO and dedicated 30 years of service to the center. The lectureship honors individuals for their contributions to the blood banking profession. The topic of Dr. Holcomb's lecture was Damage Control Resuscitation and focused on the current data of improved patient outcomes with early infusion of blood products and a balanced resuscitation of plasma, platelets and red blood cells in massively transfused trauma patients.
